Rocko’s father’s clan was Biri Biri and his mothers Googooimagin. He was an artist for many years and his artworks hang in many institutions and homes around the country. He received awards and prizes for his artwork at various events in Murgon, Wondai, the Sunshine Coast, Darwin and Brisbane. Instrumental in setting up the Yidding Artists collective, Rocko was also a fulltime Cultural worker for the Cherbourg Historical Precinct.

Rocko was also the Chairperson of Budburra Books Inc and many of his illustrations appear in these beautiful children’s books.
